What are Device Notifications?

Many sensors out in the world are used to communicate environmental changes to human administrators. A common example is a security camera that may be programmed to send a notification when motion is detected. The camera will have SMTP settings that allow a user to define where to send a notification, and how to send it.

Broadflow provides users with tools to configure their security cameras and other sensors to send alerts via SMTP. Each device added to your dashboard includes a set of SMTP credentials that can be entered into the camera’s settings to route these notifications into the Broadflow Streams cloud interface.

Moreover, by adding a Streams Bridge to your network, notifications can be seamlessly forwarded without the need for any SMTP configuration.

View device notifications by clicking on the    icon in the left navigation bar. Use filters to narrow the scope of the results to a particular sensor.
